TOPIC： Does society give the rights of animals enough consideration?POINTS：
○Animals as food and clothing ○Animals in entertainment ○Endangered species ○Religious / cultural traditions ○The pet industry ○The use of animals in experiments
Some animal welfare organizations have protested against dolphin hunting for decades and this topic has been a heated debate these days. The pet industry is constantly springing. This indicates society admits the animal rights, however, the rights fall well short of enough consideration.
First of all, Human beings have been hunting animals as food and clothing since time immemorial. This is a outlook that take it for granted for them to survive. The law of the jungle is on the nature.
In deed, over-hunting causes serious damage to the population of some endangered species.Every year endangered animals have been listed and extinguished because of poaching. Despite strict laws and campaigns for animal protection, this horrific crime has yet to be stopped.
Finally, Animal abuse not only happens in wild animals. Animals used for experimentation are another problem.Millions of mice and other animals are killed in laboratories for medical training and chemical testing. Many of these experiments cause pain to the animals involved and they are confined to cages socially isolated, and psychologically traumatized.
For the above mentioned reasons, I never believe that society accepts the doctrine of animal rights. However, a coexistence with all animals and human being in mutual prosperity is crucial in the sustainable society.
